Established in the Columbia River Gorge in Hood River, Oregon in 1987, Big Winds is one of the largest windsurfing, kiteboarding and stand up paddleboarding product and accessory stores in the United States.

Our staff members are experienced players who are passionate about their sports and equipment and ready to offer expert advice. In addition to an enormous rental/demo fleet for all skill levels, our windsurfing and stand up paddleboarding school is one of the best in the Pacific Northwest and our lesson programs include kids camps, junior camps, and private and group lessons for men and women of all ages. Big Winds' shuttle offers an opportunity for experienced water sport enthusiasts to enjoy a downwind experience in the beautiful Columbia River Gorge.

The shuttle service is designed for people who are experienced at paddling, windsurfing, or kiteboarding. The shuttle meets at the Big Winds SUP Center, in Hood River, Oregon, a half-hour before the departure time. Don't be late! The shuttle takes you up to Viento State Park so you can paddle/ride back to the Big Winds SUP Center.

You can park your vehicle at the Big Winds SUP Center, check-in, and pay. Once you have checked in, please leave your personal belongings and anything you don’t want on the water with you in your car.

During the peak season, there may be more than one shuttle per day. Frequent flyers can pay $100 for 10 trips. Please call in advance to confirm shuttle availability. Reservations are required.
