Oh- you're still reading? That's great! Let us share a little more about ourselves with you. We started Coast to Coast Paddle in 2014 as a way to share our love of standup paddleboarding and kayaking with others. We were both working other jobs but felt like the time was right to join forces and embark on this new adventure. Aaron left his teaching job, Ashley her casting job, and on June 28th, 2014, opened the doors to Coast to Coast Paddle for the first time.
Since opening, we've been embraced by the Beverly and Salem communities, as well as the paddling community in general. Over the years, we've expanded our offerings, continuing to offer standup paddleboard and kayak rentals, lessons, and tours, as well as several different fitness classes, kids programming, and special paddle adventures. Though the business has grown, our goal remains the same: Help people have a great time on the water by sharing our passion, knowledge, and experience.
Our greatest joy continues to be the community of paddlers that grows with us. As we wrap up our fourth season on the water (well, it's hard now to say "season" as this year we now offering fall and winter paddle tours- seriously, you should join us!) we invite you to come paddle with us and help us expand our ever-growing community. See you on the water!

Coast to Coast Paddles’ Story
When Aaron and Ashley first moved to the North Shore of Mass they saw tons of opportunities for paddling but not many offerings for it. Once making the decision to find a new calling, the couple set out with a goal to introduce more people to the wonderful benefits offered through paddling. Ensuring that paddlers of all skill levels have a chance to enjoy the local beauty on the North Shore of Massachusetts.
The Owners & Fellow Paddlers
Aaron went to college on the coast of Massachusetts. During that time, he and his friends took it upon themselves to adventure off to the distant islands in the area via kayak. The result of those adventures left him hooked. Once finishing college he found an opportunity to work for a kayak outfitter. While gaining experience as a tour guide and instructor he was introduced to the sport of paddleboarding. Once deciding to change careers from education and casting, Aaron and Ashley embarked on a new chapter with the creation of the Coast to Coast Paddle Co.
Tell us about the surrounding area?
Coast to Coast paddles currently has two rental locations in Beverly and Salem. Salem is a well-known tourist destination (1692 Witch Trials) providing a wealth of opportunities for adventure and vacation. Once on a board or kayak, Coast to Coast provides the opportunity to explore the various islands, rocky coasts lines and the deep mariner history linked to the area. Both locations are ocean launches so paddlers should be prepared for waterway paddling and water safety. Some key locations include Big and Little Misery Islands, Eagle Islands, Coney Island.
Do you have any signature services or paddle activities?
Coast to Coast mostly does guided paddles over the summer. With Paddle and Pints being one of their most popular activities. Paddlers can also book privately for intermediate to advanced paddles to the various islands. (Restricted to the offseason). The Maritime Historical tour is another great opportunity to learn about the rich history of Salem and the surrounding ports.
Other Services Include:
Sunset and Sunrise tours & Adult and Kids paddle camps
What is the best season to come?
Early to mid-Fall is our favorite time to paddle. When there’s Light boat traffic and water is warming. We really enjoy the coolness of Fall with better access to signature island locations. That being said, the most popular time to come paddle is in mid-late July but expect it to be busy.
What’s your favorite post-paddling activity?
Beer and paddling goes pretty hand in hand but we do offer some yoga paddles. After an early sunrise paddles we enjoy the nice moments in between to relax and hang by the grass and chat.
Best areas to stay on a trip?
Stay in Salem as it’s a tourist city with a ton of history. Beverly is starting to grow with a Bead & Breakfast and some hotels. Rockport is a beautiful area as well.
What are you most excited about for the paddling community?
Growing the paddle community in Massachusetts is very exciting. We’ll be focusing on advanced classes for high winds and wind clinics for those looking to learn increase their skills in difficult conditions. We’ve also teamed up with a local fitness center for SUP yoga in the summer.
