Located in Cork, Ireland, Cork City SUP is a great place on the Emerald Isle to experience SUP! Perfect Paddles recommends taking a beginner class to understand SUP in its entirety!
A Stand-up paddleboard tour through Cork City center with our experienced guides. We will first give a short safety briefing and paddling instructions and off we go to explore the Lee.
The experience takes about 2 hours of which 90 minutes is on the water. We’ll be paddleboarding approximately 3 km. We have carefully selected our boards to ensure you don’t fall into the river and stay dry! Suitable for even the most unbalanced person?
Our team has over 20 years of experience in delivering water-based activities. We own 2 other paddleboard schools – Mayo & West Cork.
Safety standards are extremely important to us. We are an accredited SUP school with the Academy of Surfing International, and all our instructors are qualified beach lifeguards.
If you have never paddled before, you are in good hands and if you get tired we’ll be happy to stop for a rest at one of the many exit points of the river.
We run daily tours year-round, wind permitting. We schedule our trips according to the tides as this also allows the river to move at a gentler pace.
As you will see on our booking page, we have already set the tour times to coincide with the tides for whatever date you book. So, we can only paddle at the times given on the booking page. If in doubt drop us a call.
Our launching base is located just beside St Marys Priory Church, on Popes Quay, Shandon, Cork City – Right in the heart of the City.
From here we will learn to paddle & stand, then continue around the city, going under some of Cork's most famous bridges and past well-known landmarks. On the tour, we will point out some of Cork city’s historical buildings and key features!
