Formally trading as Charlestown Watersports the business was originally set up to try and encourage young people into watersports, and to fill a hole in the market that existed in the St Austell bay area.
In 2004 Charlestown Watersports started trading with a couple of kayaks, windsurfers, and a rescue boat. Unfortunately in 2011, Charlestown Watersports lost its battle with English Heritage to operate from Charlestown Harbour necessitating a move to Pentewan Sands where the business has flourished developing into what it is today. Cornwall Watersports has a 6.5-meter Hysucat rib, and a 6.2 m rib for rides and towing water skiing and wakeboarding, and we have our smaller safety rib. We offer water-skiing, Sombrero rides, banana rides, wakeboarding, stand up paddleboards, windsurf and kayak hire. We also offer tuition for powerboats, sailing, windsurfing and SUP. We have a bustling shop with a large variety of wetsuits and other water sports necessities.
