Eduardo has expertise in many areas of outdoor recreation, including stand up
paddle, surf, hiking, river navigation, and general ocean recreation. He has owned and operated his own business, ViveSUP, out of Puerto Varas, Chile, for the past 7 years and has continued to refine and develop the business during this time in Oregon. Before that, he worked as a tour guide, guiding groups of different sizes on tours of varying levels of difficulty, destinations, and length. In addition, he has been developing different tours to serve a diverse population and cater to individual needs. He is adept at working in many different environments and with all kinds of people.
Eduardo’s specialty is customer service, and he always goes out of his way to make people feel comfortable while ensuring they get the best out of their tour
experience. He excels at handling logistic situations in order to make tours flow
smoothly and seem effortless to clients. For example, while he was guiding a group of foreigners along the Puelo river in Chile, the group encountered a situation where the roads were inaccessible due to flooding, and the equipment couldn’t be transported by utility truck as the original plan. Eduardo was able to find a local farmer with an ox cart to get the group's equipment to the next put-in point and continue to the trip smoothly. These are the kinds of skills that Eduardo would bring as a guide and tour developer to your adventure.
