Learn how to stand up paddle and have SUP lessons at Workout on Water, an ASI accredited learn to stand up paddle & SUP Yoga school, located at Rose Bay, in Sydney’s Eastern Suburbs.
Workout on Water is owned and run by well-known paddle boarder Charlotte Piho. Charlotte is a Cook Island and Tahitian stand up paddle board adventurer, ambassador and instructor. She began stand up paddle boarding in 2007 and also has a surf, swim and beach volley background.
Charlotte holds an ASI Level 2 Stand Up Paddle accreditation for instructing in enclosed waters and exposed waters, surf rescue and first aid qualifications. She is also an internationally certified yoga teacher. She studied law and finance and has always set herself high standards.
Charlotte started the school because stand up paddle boarding was a life changing experience for her. It gave her the ability to feel the thrill she was used to experiencing in surfing, but on flat water. She is a water baby and couldn’t wait to share that thrill with other people. She loves to inspire people to get the most out of their experience on the water, which is why Workout on Water was born.
She is assisted in the SUP school by ASI accredited SUP instructors, holding surf rescue and first aid qualifications.
Work Out on Waters is also an ASI SUP Instructor Training Centre, with Charlotte authorised to train others to be SUP Yoga Instructors.
SUP lessons are held in Rose Bay in the Eastern Suburbs of Sydney. Rose Bay is a great location because it is close to both the beach communities as well as the city. Being close to the city means that even people who work in the CBD are able to incorporate SUP in their daily routine.
The secluded and idyllic flat waters of Rose Bay provide comfort for those who are still increasing their confidence in the water. They are also great for the more experienced SUPper due to the stunning views that extend through to the harbour. Rose Bay also has a great selection of restaurants, perfect for that meal after an exciting day of stand up paddle boarding.
Workout on Water offers group and private stand up paddle lessons in enclosed flat water and exposed waters from beginners to more experienced Workout on Water also accommodates larger groups through its corporate programs, school programs and kids day camps.
Because of Charlotte’s international accreditation as a yoga teacher, the school provides yoga on water courses. These courses specifically assist in building better balance, flexibility, coordination, endurance, strength and neuromuscular re-education. In addition they offer fitness on water classes for those looking for a full-body workout.
