Zen SUP is owned and operate by John Hogan. Growing up in Ireland, he accumulated many years of experience in water related activities, including rowing, windsurfing, sailing and stand up paddle. He owned and ran a windsurfing school has studied extensively the Eastern traditions of yoga and meditation and holds numerous certifications in both disciplines.
John started the SUP school to share his passion for stand up paddle in an amazing location in Algarve Portugal.
He is a fully qualified and holds ASI qualifications in water safety and rescue, in SUP Level 1 (flat waters), Level 2 (exposed waters and beginner surf) and Level 3 (downwind and distance paddling) and is an ASI qualified SUP Yoga Teacher. He is assisted in the SUP School by ASI accredited SUP instructors.
Zen SUP offers group and private SUP lessons, certificate courses, rentals, SUP tours for children, adults, parties, school groups, backpackers, universities and corporates. Teambuilding activities and SUP Yoga also available.
Lessons are held at calm inland waters of Quarteria. It is very scenic and ideal for paddling.
Quarteria is fishing village and a popular seaside destination with white sands, a large range of cafes with great food and seafood and perfect paddling locations.
