Meet Robyn Hurst of Vessels of Clay Yoga & SUP in Missouri

Hi Robyn, could you tell us a little more about yourself?
I want to help people learn to live a healthful life FREELY and JOYFULLY. We all have way too many regimens that can sap the joy out of life. Healthful living can be fun! My business is a mix of all levels and kinds of yoga, Paddleboard and SUP Yoga instruction, special workshops for Yoga teachers, and Yahweh Yoga Style Teacher Trainings.

Tell us a little bit about yourself and your experience with paddleboarding
I have been paddling since 2014.  At that time, I had been a yoga teacher 11 years, and could not believe that I had not already tried Paddleboarding and SUP Yoga, being that I was such a water baby growing up!  It was a PERFECT FIT.

Location Overview - Tell us about your water environment
I paddle flatwater in the Southwest Missouri area-- Table Rock Lake and the bottom end (warm end) of Lake Taneycomo, primarily. Beautifully lush and green trees surrounding picturesque water within the Ozark Hills!

What services do you offer
SUP Basics (learning to stand and paddle), SUP yoga, Advanced paddling techniques, Group paddles, and a special workshop that I designed/Copyrighted for Yoga Teachers and Teachers-in-Training who need contact hours and and a fun new experience away from the studio called "Mind, Body, Spirit on the Water"
I specialize in Christ-centered Paddleboard classes, as well. What could be better than being out in Creation and praising the Creator for all the beauty and peace? and our ability to really LIVE in the moment out there? So much joy!

Can you tell us some interesting notes about the area?
Lots of cranes, ducks, geese, turtles, the Great Blue Heron, frogs, otters, and the occasional Bald Eagle...

Is Vessels of clay seasonal or does it operate year round?
May thru September---Primarily June thru August, but will make special appointments any other time, even in the off-season, provided the water temperature versus air temperature are amenable and/or the participants have wetsuits, etc

Tell us about your favorite local food and why you love it
You can't go wrong at the White River Fish House at the Branson landing! I love the Grouper Islamorada! And I sometimes treat myself to some of the skillet cornbread/butter they bring out while you peruse the menu....=-)

Where would you recommend travelers stay nearby?
Edgewater Beach Resort---where I happen to teach classes and lessons. Beautiful location and all kinds of extras available. Family owned and operated for many years!

Are there any additional activities nearby that you recommend?
If you are into seeing shows, nearby Branson is the live music capital of the country. The Southwest Missouri area is chock full of outdoor fun! All kinds of lake activities, golf courses, hiking trails, camping parks, the Shepherd of the Hills Fish Hatchery, Silver Dollar City, multiple zipline facilities, slick tracks (go karts), flyboarding, parasailing....Nearby Eureka Springs is a blossoming art and music town with several other unique tourist offerings, and just north of Branson is the Wilson's Creek Battlefield park for history buffs, which can be a great place for a bike ride! That being said, just driving around in your car or motorcycle on this scenic hills is also a treat.
