Sea Star Feeding

Come meet and feed our sea stars!
Learn about the diet of four species of our local sea stars and help serve them their favorite lunch. AND YES! Heal the Bay Aquarium Visitors can help assist aquarium staff as they feed the sea stars in our Tide Pool Touch Tanks.

Introduce yourself to our:
Short spined sea stars (Pisaster brevispinus)
Giant sea star (Pisaster giganteus)
Ochre sea star (Pisaster ochraceus)
Sunflower sea star (Pycnopodia helianthoides)
Help feed pieces of fish or mussel to our sea stars using small tongs for feeding frenzy fun while keeping your fingers fish-smell free.
"SEA" you down by the bay!
