Tue Conditioned Hikers: Topanga Canyon to Saddle Peak

Strenuous approx. 11 miles, 2300 ft out & back hike up the BBT through Hondo Canyon to the Fossil Trail and on to Saddle Peak for lunch overlooking the Pacific Ocean. Meet at the Backbone trailhead at Greenleaf Canyon Road. (PCH to Topanga Cyn Bl, N 4.8 mi to Greenleaf Cyn Rd, or 101 to Topanga Cyn Blvd, S 7.6 mi to Greenleaf Cyn Rd. Bring: Bring water, lunch, close-toed shoes, hat, sun screen, and the Ten Essentials.

Additional Directions: In going on a Sierra Club outing you are potentially on a trip with individuals vaccinated and unvaccinated. It is your choice to attend the outing knowing this information. The leader cannot and should not reveal the status of participants vaccination or reject a participant based on their vaccination status. You are welcome to wear a mask if that makes you comfortable. If someone is experiencing any possible COVID symptoms or is sick, they should not attend the outing. The participant is responsible for contacting the leader to report a positive COVID test.
