Tue Conditioned Hikers: Will Rogers Temescal Ridge Loop Date and Time:

This is a strenuous 14-mile loop, 2600 gain hike through Temescal Canyon starting at Will Rogers State Park taking the Backbone Trail (BBT #1) to the Temescal Ridge Trail intersection. The return will be on the Temescal Ridge Trail to Temescal Canyon Park then taking the Rivas Ridge Trail back to Will Rogers. Meet at 800 AM at Will Rogers State Park (Will Rogers Road off Sunset Boulevard 3.7 miles north from PCH or 5.5 miles south from 405 Freeway). Park free outside park or in parking lot (fee, or free with appropriate parking permit).This is a back country outing; medical form required. Bring: Bring water, snacks, sunscreen, and a good attitude.

Additional Directions: In going on a Sierra Club outing you are potentially on a trip with individuals vaccinated and unvaccinated. It is your choice to attend the outing knowing this information. The leader can not and should not reveal the status of participants vaccination or reject a participant based on their vaccination status. You are welcome to wear a mask if that makes you comfortable. If someone is experiencing any possible COVID symptoms or is sick, they should not attend the outing. The participant is responsible for contacting the leader to report a positive COVID test. Leaders will provide participants with their contact information. Leader will report as an Incident Report to the Sierra Club.
