Tue Moderate Hikers – Las Virgenes View Trail / King Gillette Ranch

Moderately paced 7.3 mile, 900 gain hike beginning with Las Virgenes View Trail. Start from trailhead at NE corner of Mulholland Hwy/Malibu Cyn Rd. Spectacular 360 degree views including Saddle Peak, MCSP, Stokes Cyn, Goat Buttes, and Lady Face Mtn. Upon completing this trail we move our cars to King Gillette Ranch Visitors Center 3 minutes away. Lunch and a quick view of the Visitors Center. King Gillette Ranch is a beautiful property (formerly home to King Gillette of razor blade renown, Soka University, and most recently, the filming of The Biggest Loser). After lunch, hike 2 1/2 mile loop to Inspiration Point for views of the Las Virgenes Valley. Meet at 8:00 am at the Pacific Palisades rideshare point (first parking lot on right on Los Liones after turning on Sunset) or promptly before 8:45 am at SE corner of Mulholland Hwy & Las Virgenes/Malibu Cyn Rd. (PCH W 8 1/2 mi from Sunset Blvd to Las Virgenes/Malibu Cyn Rd; Mulholland Hwy is 5 1/2 mi from PCH or 4 mi from 101/Ventura Fwy). This is a back country hike: medical form required.
