Learn how to stand up paddle and have SUP lessons at Port Macquarie SUP Fun, an ASI accredited learn to stand up paddle school, located at Port Macquarie, a 4½ hours drive north of Sydney. Travel from Sydney or fly to Port Macquarie.

Port Macquarie SUP Fun is owned and operated by Tony. He has been Stand Up Paddleboarding since 2010 in the flat waters of Port Macquarie and at local surfing beaches. tony is also an elite surfer and is a “born and bred” Port Macquarie local and has a vast knowledge of the area and its waterways.

Tony developed an interest for SUP Paddling after observing a man from the Northern Beaches on his SUP having a paddle. He saw he was more likely to get out on the water when paddling than surfing, especially when there were no waves, and continue to enjoy his passion for water sports year-round. Tony, who suffered a lower back injury, also saw the other benefits that stand up paddle has to offer, engaging the core muscles, and rehabilitating the body.

Tony is a proud and active member in his community, helping out at local schools and indigenous youth groups. He started the SUP school as he enjoys the interaction with people of all ages and abilities and loves seeing the satisfaction on their faces when they achieve their SUP goals. He is keen to show off his town and have people participated in activities that complement the beautiful town of Port Macquarie.

He holds ASI Level 1 and Level 2 SUP Instructor accreditation for Enclosed Flat Water and Exposed Waters locations, Beginner surf level 3, water rescue and first aid qualifications. He is assisted in the SUP school with experienced and accredited SUP instructors.

Port Macquarie SUP Fun offers group and private SUP lessons, certificate courses, SUP tours, sunrise and sunset paddles, boot camps and board hire for children, adults, corporate groups and team building sessions, kids birthday parties, backpackers, tourists, families.

SUP lessons and activities are held in the calm and protected waters at Settlement Point, only a short 3.5 kms from the Town Centre. The point provides perfect scenery with an abundance of wildlife on show, dolphins, pelicans, variety of fish and birdlife are seen frequently.

There are also great facilities at the Reserve, such as BBQS, childrens playground, undercover seating and clean amenities, making it a great day out.
